GET READY! FBI Legal Honors Internship Program | Application Period Feb. 12 – Mar. 1

Make an appointment with the Career Center to prepare your materials for the upcoming application period for the FBI’s Summer 2025 Honors Legal Internship Program. The application period will be open from February 12 – March 1, 2024. The link to apply will be on www.fbi.gov specifically under “FBI Jobs.” Don’t worry, we will send reminders so that you won’t miss this great opportunity.

The FBI Legal Honors Internship Program is a paid internship for the summer of 2025 in one of 56 FBI field offices nationwide or the FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The successful applicant will also be granted a Top Secret clearance as part of the onboarding process.

Some of the assignments former law school interns performed were: (1)  briefings on SCOTUS and US Court of Appeals criminal and national security cases to our FBI agents and intelligence analysts; (2) briefings on state law issues relative to peace officer status/mental health issues/active shooter matters and concealed gun carrying; (3) researching FBI and information sharing post 9/11 with state, local and private sector partners; (4) participating in two physical fitness programs per week – team building; (5) participating in firearms safety and defensive tactics demonstrations; and (6) visiting the federal/state judges, federal prosecutors, state prosecutors, and public defenders.

There are approximately 350 FBI attorneys operating across the country on complex criminal, national security, civil, and administrative legal issues.  The FBI Honors Legal Internship Program is a wonderful gateway to start the journey to a full-time FBI legal career!
