The nuts and bolts:
- All currently enrolled 1Ls in good standing are eligible.
- Qualifying employers are non-profit organizations, governmental offices, or judges (the funding does not cover work on political campaigns, work at for-profit entities, or faculty research).
- The internship focus must be legally oriented.
- Students can receive a maximum of $3,000 for the summer.
- You can apply for a partial summer.
- You can qualify even if you are receiving other outside funding (fellowships/scholarships).
- The 1L summer job can be a launching pad for your 2L summer – the Career Center will put together a comprehensive and individualized plan with you to maximize your internship and lay the foundation for an outstanding 2L summer position.
