With interview season in full swing you will start to receive requests for video interviews by employers. The Career Center is here to help with that.
The Career Center will reserve space for you in the AV studio, CC Work Room or multipurpose room to conduct your video or Skype interviews. Once you have received an invitation for a video interview, please let Keidra know so that she can put you on her radar. This step can be done even before you have locked down a solid date and time. The next step can be done one of two ways:
- You can cc Keidra on your acceptance of the interview with the employer so that she is aware of the possible dates you will be given to choose from, and can obtain the employers IT contact to perform a test call prior to the interview ( you do not have to be present for the test).
- You could also confirm the interview details with the employer yourself. Then, you would obtain the IT contact and forward their contact information to Keidra.
A few tips for scheduling video interviews:
- Confirm the time zone of the interview.
- Try to give at least 48 hours notice, if possible, to allow for space availability
- Practice video interviewing with a professional consultant.
