The U.S. Tax Court will host a virtual version of its Law Clerk Interview Days beginning September 12 and concluding September 16, 2022.
1. Application Submission: Students interested in submitting applications should do so electronically via the Court’s website–www.ustaxcourt.gov. The candidates can submit application packages directly to each participating Judge from August 8 through August 15. Applicants should first go to Law Clerk Program | United States Tax Court (ustaxcourt.gov) and click on the list of Judges participating in Interview Days. Candidates may submit application packets to one or more participating Judges.
2. Application Materials: All students are asked to provide a cover letter, resume, writing sample of no longer than 10 pages, and J.D. and LL.M. (if applicable) transcripts. Letters of reference also may be provided but are not required. All documents should be provided in PDF format.
3. Interviewee Selection: Each participating Judge will be responsible for scheduling their own interviews. Virtual interviews will be scheduled between September 12 and September 16. Note: Judges may make independent arrangements for interviews.
