I’m sure you have heard rumblings around the school about judicial law clerkships.  On October 7, at 1 pm you will have the opportunity to have all your questions answered!  Have you wondered about what a law clerk actually is?  A law clerk or a judicial clerk is typically an attorney who provides direct assistance and counsel to a judge in making legal determinations and researching issues that come before the court.  That means as a brand new attorney you will be drafting bench memoranda or even opinions that not only be impactful on that particular case, but for the precedent that it sets. That in itself is a reason to clerk!

To gain more information about judicial clerkships please join the faculty clerkship committee, including Professor Greg Magarian and Professor Danielle D’Onfro who will speak further and on the value of a judicial clerkship, both from a short-term and long-term perspective.  Current students who have already accepted judicial clerkships and members of the Career Center will also be available to answer questions about different levels of clerkships and their application strategies.

Be sure you have all the facts to make the best decision for you.  Learn about how to apply, the various types of clerkships, and being a judicial clerk. Ask any question!
