The Fall 2020 recruitment cycle for 2L and 3L students is now open. Every applicant must complete a structured interview to complete his or her package. Interviews will be conducted using video-teleconferencing technology and/or telephonically. All interviews must be requested by September 25, 2020.

Eligibility for Student Program:
- Be a United States citizen of good moral character;
- Be younger than 42 years of age at the time you begin active duty;
- Have taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT);
- Be a law student with at least one year of school completed, attending an American Bar association (ABA)-accredited school, or a graduate of an ABA-accredited law school who has not yet had the opportunity to take the first available bar exam following graduation. Students who attend law school part time or intend to matriculate in a dual degree program must be within two years of completing all remaining degree requirements; and
- Meet the physical and medical requirements for commission in the Navy.
**Direct Accession applications are not being accepted for the Fall 2020 application cycle.

- Online Application. Create an account, complete the online application, and upload all materials by the application deadline above. Application link: https://onlineapplication.jag.navy.mil/Recruit/Default.aspx
- Structured Interview. Schedule and complete a Structured Interview by the deadlines above. Structured interviews can be completed at any time in the application process and are valid for three years. We recommend requesting an interview several weeks in advance of the deadline to ensure availability. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, interviews may be conducted via video conference. - Selection Board. A selection board will convene in November to professionally recommend primary and alternate candidates for commission in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps.
- Board Results. Results of the selection boards will be posted on the application website in early December. Results are only visible to applicants by logging into their account.
