Bidding is open for Early OCI and the MCGC Interview Program. However, you should not bid until you have received your spring semester grades and cumulative GPA. In the meantime, get ready to bid with these six steps:
* Update your resume to include your 1L summer internship and a placeholder for your cumulative 1L GPA (which you will add as soon as you receive it), and any honors or awards you have earned. If you participated in the Journal Write-On competition, consider listing “Journal Write-On Competition Participant (results pending).” Send your resume and a cover letter to the career center for review and comment, if you have not done so already.
* Draft your cover letter. Don’t forget to update the first sentence to indicate if you are a rising second-year or rising third-year student. If the employer does not require a cover letter but you’d like to include one, create a single .pdf file with your cover letter and resume). Be sure to name each cover letter to ensure you upload the correct letter for each employer. Additionally, if the employer is recruiting for several locations, list the location(s) you prefer in the cover letter.
* Once you have received ALL grades, order your current official transcript. You will only need to order this once and will use it with every application until January 2024. If you do not receive your transcript in time for early OCI, please only bid with the university approved grade sheet.
* Meet with a strategist to discuss the best plan for you!
* Create a spreadsheet to track your applications and stay organized.
* Watch Symplicity closely and check back regularly. New employers are added all the time.
