Even though it seems like summer is just beginning, now is the time to update your application materials for 2L summer recruiting!  Update your resume and create a form cover letter to reflect your current summer position and any new activities or awards.  Email your updated materials to the Career Center for review and approval before bidding.  Once approved by the Career Center, as soon as your second semester grades come out, you will be ready to finalize your materials and start bidding.

Remember, cover letters must be customized for each employer.  A well written cover letter will:

  1. Introduce yourself to the employer;
  2. Establish a geographic connection to the employer or confirm your desire to work in a certain location;
  3. Express genuine interest in the specific employer; and
  4. Highlight your relevant skills and abilities.
