VIRTUAL NETWORKING PROGRAM | SIGN UP BY 5.26
The Career Center is inviting you to link up this summer with experienced attorneys in your target cities and/or practice areas through the Summer Virtual Networking Program (VNP). Sign-up here, and we will match you with an attorney for a virtual meeting.
WHAT IS THE SUMMER VIRTUAL NETWORKING PROGRAM, AND WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
The VNP is an opportunity for you to build your legal network, practice your interview skills, and learn more about the practice of law in one of your target cities and/or practice areas. You let us know your target cities and practices, and the Career Center matches you with an experienced attorney, many of whom are WashU Law alums. During your virtual meeting, you will practice key skills, including interviewing, information gathering, and networking.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Sign up here! Please complete this form by Wednesday, May 26th.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE MATCH?
No need to try to beat the algorithm here. The Career Center will take your target areas and personally match you with an attorney that practices law in your desired geographical and/or practice area. We can’t promise that everyone will get their first choice, but we strive to ensure everyone has a meaningful experience.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After you submit the Google form, we will work to make the best attorney match for you based on the targets you give us. We will send you the contact information for your attorney match, and you will take the lead in reaching out and scheduling a virtual meeting. The meetings will occur in June or July, at a time that is mutually convenient for you and your attorney match.
Feel free to reach out to Joni Forster in the Career Center, if you have any additional questions. We hope you take advantage of this great opportunity to link up and grow your network through this summer’s VNP.
