The Securities and Exchange Commission will begin recruiting for their SEC Scholars Legal Program for Summer 2023 [ June 5, 2023 to August 11, 2023 ] on Monday, October 31st. The SEC is a federal agency charged with protecting investors; maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets; and facilitating capital formation. The Denver Regional Office has attorneys who work in the Division of Enforcement and the Division of Examinations. Summer Legal Scholars who work in the Division of Enforcement have opportunities to assist the SEC staff in investigating potential violations of the federal securities laws and to assist the Division’s trial unit in litigating civil enforcement actions, which are filed in federal district courts and in administrative proceedings.
