In connection with the LCLD Pipeline Committee’s 1L Scholars Program, we are pleased to announce our partnership in the following internships:

4. McGuireWoods/Capital One (Richmond)
5. McGuireWoods/Dominion Energy (Richmond)
6. McGuireWoods/TBD (San Francisco)
7. McGuireWoods/Duke Energy (Washington, D.C.)
These partnerships will each provide a unique opportunity for a diverse 1L law student to work side by side with both McGuireWoods attorneys and the legal department of a national organization during a 10 week paid internship in the summer of 2020. The 1L LCLD Scholar will spend 6–8 weeks in one of the McGuireWoods offices listed above and the remaining time in the legal department of the partner organization.

The 2020 1L LCLD Scholars will be provided with multiple networking opportunities, including:
• Attendance at the 1L LCLD Scholars Summit from June 2–4, 2020 in Atlanta, GA
• Participation in the first 6–8 weeks of the firm’s summer program
• Additional networking events throughout the summer

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants will be considered based on their academic credentials, leadership experience, diversity-related student organization involvement and personal achievements.
Applicants will be asked to upload the following materials:

• Undergraduate and law school transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) – If you apply prior to receiving your first semester law school grades, it will be your responsibility to email your law school transcript to LCLDProgram@McGuireWoods.com by January 31, 2020, in order to complete your application

SALARY
The selected 1L LCLD Scholars will receive a salary comparable to the summer associate salary in the city they will be working in.
