Lewis Rice awards (2) first year law students a $7,500 scholarship credited toward tuition and expenses in the Fall academic term of each awardee’s second year of law school. The scholarship was created in 2021 in honor of the late Larry L. Deskins and his contributions to Lewis Rice and the legal profession.
To be eligible to receive the Larry L. Deskins Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as a first-year law school student in good standing at Washington University, Saint Louis University or University of Missouri School of Law. They must also be from an economically disadvantaged and/or underrepresented group in the legal profession, and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, able to work in the U.S. without limit as to duration or the need for immigration sponsorship.
