From Big Law to Government to Public Interest, 1Ls, 2Ls and 3Ls, there is something for everyone. But don’t delay – many deadlines are happening as early as this weekend.
Don’t see what you’re looking for on Symplicity? Now is the time to reaffirm your interest in your top employers through a second (or first!) direct application. Take these three actions in the next few days to get on and stay on track.
1.) BE DIRECT.
Send (or resend) your application materials directly to the recruiter by email in order to catch employers at an optimum moment. Stay top of mind by staying at the top of inboxes.
2.) SEND 25 APPLICATIONS (AT LEAST) NOW.
Applying can be a numbers game for obvious reasons. Mailing a breadth of applications at this time will mean more opportunities to interview and will increase your employment opportunities in the coming months. If you get in a rhythm and gain momentum, send 10 more!
3.) DIVERSIFY YOUR LISTS.
Widen your gaze. Apply to government, public interest, law firm and in-house positions simultaneously. The cycles and timing of each career path vary slightly, and each employer has different needs at different times. As one is winding down, another may be gearing up, so a concurrent parallel search is best.
