This Thursday, January 25 at 12PM in AB Hall 309, we are hosting an informational session for 2L students who will apply for funding through the Summer Public Interest Program.
The Summer Public Interest Program (SPIP) is part of WashULaw’s commitment to supporting students pursuing careers in the public sector. This program provides financial support to students who would otherwise be unable to work in unpaid public sector summer internships. The application for 2L candidates is open now and closes on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
An eligible position is one in which you are:
- Working for the public interest in a legal, policy, legislative, or advocacy setting under legal supervision, and in a position where at least one year of law school is required; or
- Working for a non-profit organization, government office, or in a judicial externship/internship program; and
- Working in a position where you are not receiving payment intended to compensate you for work performed during the internship, whether from your place of employment or an outside funder.
RSVP on Symplicity.
