Job Postings + Direct Applying
Finding a summer or post-graduate position in the legal job market requires creativity and energy from all of us–you and the Career Center staff. You will need to aggressively supplement the On- and Off-Campus interview programs with networking, informational interviewing, job fairs and direct applying.
Some employers prefer that students write them directly or apply via online portals rather than have the Career Center arrange on-campus interviews or resume collection. These employers may be found in Symplicity under Job Postings > Search. Deadlines posted in Symplicity, have been specified by the employer and refer to the date by which the employer must receive your materials. Whether or not a deadline has been specified, it is to your advantage to send your materials promptly.
Not all employers will post their openings in Symplicity so being familiar with job search sites such as Indeed and LinkedIn as well as employer’s individual sites is beneficial.

Employers want to meet you and what better way than to invite you to their summer receptions! As invites roll in, the Career Center will keep you in the loop. Summer reception invitations can be found in Symplicity under your events tab. As a preview, take a look at just a couple upcoming employer hosted events and DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER/RSVP!
