This court is the leading court for resolving disputes involving the internal affairs of Delaware corporations and other business entities. This is a non-jury trial court that exclusively handles civil cases. The unique docket is due in part to the fact that Delaware is the legal home to more than 1.3 million entities, accounting for approximately two-thirds of all Fortune 500 companies and half of all public corporations in the US.
The Court of Chancery hires up to eight clerks, and applications are due February 14, 2020. The clerkships typically last for one or two years.
