You’re invited to Reed Smith’s Virtual Law Student Mental Health Summit | 10.12.23

Reed Smith is committed to mental health awareness and advocacy. As such we would like to share information about an event Reed Smith is hosting on October 12, 2023, our first Law Student Mental Health Summit. This event coincides with World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2023.

VIRTUAL & ON-DEMAND: Law students and other attendees are welcome to attend all six live sessions, to drop-in/drop-out of any sessions or to watch them on-demand at a time that works for them.

The primary objective of the summit is to create an open and honest dialogue about mental health issues in the legal profession and explore effective strategies to support law students and recent graduates in maintaining their well-being. The summit will bring together the Institute for Well-being in Law (IWIL), experts in mental health, legal professionals, and recent graduates to discuss topics such as the foundations of flourishing, future proofing mental health, “what I know now” a session featuring first and second year associates talking about their mental health journeys, and even a session specifically meant for law school faculty and administrators on how to support the mental health of law students.

The summit will underscore the collective commitment of the legal community that nurtures the holistic development of students, leading to a more positive, healthy, and supportive law school experience and law career.
