Deadline to apply is THIS Sunday, March 17, 2019
WashULaw’s Career Center is dedicated to supporting your commitment to public service and we are available to field any questions you may have regarding the summer public interest funding (SPIP).
If your summer plan includes working towards your goal of pursuing a career in public interest, you are eligible to apply for the 2L summer stipend. Funding for the stipends come from multiple sources, so the number of stipends varies annually.
Applications for the 2L summer stipend are evaluated by an outside committee that will consider your commitment to public interest, future career plans, commitment to giving back, substantiveness of summer employment; and prior experience.
If your summer job is funding contingent please let us know!
Tips for a Successful Application:
- Meet with the Career Center
Schedule an individual meeting to help you prepare your application. Jim Guest is available to review SPIP applications prior to submitting your application. - Put in the Effort
This is your time to show the committee just how much you care about public interest. - Meet with a Professional Consultant
We have 3 consultants that have also made a commitment to public interest and can guide you in the right way and help you express your commitment to public interest. Let us know if you would like to meet with one of our public interest professional consultants.
