SUMMER LAW CLERK WEBINAR

Thursday, November 16, 2023, 4 pm EST

On behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Legal & Compliance Group, we are pleased to invite you to attend an informational webinar about our 2024 Summer Law Clerk Program for 1Ls

Zoom: https://newyorkfed-org.zoomgov.com/j/1600188752?pwd=VW5NQzFtcytLa1VOSUQ1cmJDRk90Zz09

Webinar ID: 160 018 8752 | Passcode: 8088291

Each summer, the New York Fed employs a number of first-year law students as part of a 10-week program typically starting in late May. Working within the Legal Function at the New York Fed positions law students at the center of the financial world, with an inside look at how policies, statutes and regulations apply to the work of the nation’s central bank and to national and international markets and economies.

The webinar—on Thursday, November 16 at 4 pm EST—will introduce the Summer Law Clerk program to prospective applicants.  You’ll hear from the program coordinators, their Federal Reserve colleagues, and former summer law clerks about the hiring process (including what’s new this year), onboarding, assignments, and mentoring.  We will also cover the Legal & Compliance Group’s efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and other opportunities for law students and new attorneys at the Federal Reserve.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the presentation.

The program will be hosted via Zoom and will be recorded.  No RSVP is necessary.  Calendar invitations will not be sent.  Please feel free to distribute this information to anyone at your school who may be interested in a career in public service, financial services, or regulation.
