Frost Brown Todd Zenobia Harris Bivens Diversity Scholarship

The FBT Zenobia Harris Bivens Diversity Scholarship program is meant to promote, in a tangible way, the principles set forth in our firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Vision Statement. Building a pipeline of diverse attorneys is vital to the future of our firm and our profession, and this scholarship program is one component of our broader pipeline work.
Scholarship Requirements
FBT invites qualified candidates to apply for its annual Zenobia Harris Bivens Diversity Scholarship program, open to all underrepresented law students and undergraduate students interested in pursuing law school, including but not limited to African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Asian, Native American, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, multi-racial, and LGBT students. All female students are also eligible, regardless of race or ethnicity. Any other students who come from backgrounds that would add to the cause of diversity, regardless of race or gender, are eligible to apply. To qualify for this scholarship, a candidate must be a law student at an ABA-accredited law school or an undergraduate student who intends to attend law school in the fall. The goal of the Diversity Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to worthy students to advance the beliefs embodied in Frost Brown Todd’s Diversity Vision Statement.
Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who best meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated academic excellence;
- Service to the profession;
- Service to the communities where FBT is located; AND
- Service to the cause of diversity.
Application Process
Applicants must submit all of the following:
- A complete copy of the attached application; AND
- A personal statement.
The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2023. Scholarship winners will be notified by the end of the year. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Personal Statement
In addition to submitting the attached application, applicants must complete a personal statement of no more than 1,000 words. The purpose of this personal statement is to allow candidates an opportunity to explain their background and how they will enhance diversity and equity efforts in the legal community.
