Meet local Chinese speaking professionals, and learn how to stand out in a crowd!
Many US interviews require applicants to mingle and/ or interview in groups. Learn how to navigate this process in a comfortable, small group environment.
The St. Louis Mosaic Project, along with the Washington University Graduate Student Senate and the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, invites graduate students to join local professionals in different fields to practice speed networking in Chinese and English. We will start in Chinese, then transition to English as the groups move around.
This is a fantastic opportunity to practice your interview skills, as well as make contacts with St. Louis professionals from top companies and fields.

FAQs
What is group speed networking?
In group speed networking, a small group of students is paired with one profesional at each table. Each group gets to ask questions and interact for a set period of time. After this, students rotate to the next table and professional. Attendees will share their professional backgrounds and goals. Networkers are generally seeking exposure to new contacts. Please bring business cards (or your Wechat) and expect to exchange them. It is an excellent way to meet new people and increase your pool of professional contacts.
Can I ask about job openings and internships?
Yes. Some of these companies represented are actively hiring for both employees and interns. However, keep in mind that even if the professional’s department is not actively hiring, they may know people at their company or different companies who are actively hiring. But keep in mind that if you network just to build a relationship with a person, that may be more beneficial and reduce the amount of pressure on both sides.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
