Mobilization for Justice, Inc. is seeking a fellow for its inaugural Alan Mansfield Racial Justice Fellowship, an impact litigation-focused one-year fellowship for licensed attorneys with 0-3 years’ experience.
The Mansfield Fellow will work in MFJ’s Special Litigation Project (SLP), a unit MFJ created to expand and strengthen the organization’s impact and class action litigation work, especially in areas with a racial justice and equity component. The SLP works closely with attorneys and staff across MFJ’s program areas (Housing, Economic Justice, Disability and Aging Rights, and Children’s Rights) to identify systemic problems affecting MFJ’s clients that would benefit from impact or class action litigation and law reform work. The SLP then develops and litigates those cases in federal and state court, often with pro bono firm or non-profit partners. The SLP also serves as a strategic litigation resource for MFJ attorneys.
