Attorney on a prosecution team trying a co-defendant, multi-victim, murder case in Idaho this Spring, seeks to hire a law student for short-term help on the trial brief.
Assignment may take 15-20 hrs. evening & weekend. Attorney expects regular, self-initiated contact with me. Responsibilities would include research and drafting sections of the brief. Work to be completed by March 27th. May possibly be able to use work as a writing sample for employment purposes unless it is sealed.
The trial brief topics are varied, but, include admissibility of statements of co-conspirators, mental health impact on state of mind, specific evidence rules in Idaho (they follow federal rules fairly closely) and some additional specialized topics. Student preferably has taken evidence, criminal procedure(s), and ideally ethics.
