1Ls, one of the many new skills you need to learn this year is how to network virtually. For this reason, the Career Center is hosting the Virtual Networking Workshop on October 16th from 12-1pm CT. Make attending a priority.
Most networking events and careers fairs have moved online for the winter and spring. Virtual networking is unlike events held in person and brings a unique set of challenges.
Join us next Friday via Zoom for a 1L Professional Development Workshop that will cover tips to effectively network at virtual events and job fairs of all types.
The workshop will include:
- a short presentation
- a simulated virtual networking reception
- an opportunity to practice networking skills and incorporate advice
This workshop is strategically scheduled in advance of essential virtual events you will participate in this year, including the 1L Diversity Expo, the EJW Conference, the New York Public Defender Job Fair and other upcoming events.
