If your summer plan includes working in the public sector, for a judge, non-profit organization or government office, you are eligible for WashULaw’s Summer Public Interest Funding Program.

Eligibility:

  • All currently enrolled 1Ls in good standing are eligible.
  • Internship focus must be legally oriented.
  • Qualifying employers are non-profit organizations, governmental offices, or judges (the funding does not cover work on political campaigns, work at for-profit entities, or faculty research).
  • Students can receive a maximum of $3,000 for the summer.
