Position: Law Student Intern
Salary Range: $16.00 per hour
Opening Date: March 25, 2018
Closing Date: April 5, 2019

Position Overview: This position is located in the Bankruptcy Court’s Clerk’s Office in St. Louis, Missouri. The Law Student Intern provides assistance to the Attorney Advisor in completing research projects and creating training programs and presentations. Incumbent reports to Attorney Advisor. This is a temporary part-time position.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:  The Law Student Intern performs duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

•           Assist with review of unclaimed funds collection processes

•           Assist with data collection from the Pro Se Assistance Program

•           Assist with developing guidelines for the presentation of motions and requests in Chapter 11 mega cases

•           Assist with attorney password management within the Court’s CM/ECF system

•           Assist with review of all current local forms and conversion/retyping of certain WordPerfect and Word documents

•           Assist in creating a financial education class for federal probationers

Qualifications and Educational Requirements: Candidate must have completed first or second year of law school with knowledge of local rules, legal terminology and legal documents. Proven ability to work in a multi-task, technologically advanced environment is desired. The applicant must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
