DIVERSITY STUDENT ADR SUMMIT: ROADMAP TO A CAREER IN ADR
November 23 and 24, 2019
The American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) is the global leader in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and as such, is committed to the growth of diversity and inclusion within the ADR field. Since 2009, the AAA A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. Fellows Program has provided training, networking, and mentorship for up-and-coming diverse ADR practitioners—many of whom have advanced to appointment to the AAA Roster and have been selected to serve on cases.
THE DIVERSITY STUDENT ADR SUMMIT: As part of our ongoing commitment, the AAA is launching a 1½-day ADR Summit for diverse law students to provide an in-depth understanding of what it really takes to become a successful arbitrator and/or mediator.

Attendees will learn the importance of focusing on a specific industry, networking, connecting with mentors, gaining relevant experience, and building a good reputation in the field.
The program is open to diverse students. Selected applicants will receive a $1,300 stipend to cover travel and hotel expenses to New York.
