The last of three major conferences of the Crimes Against Humanity Initiative, the Washington Conference was generously funded by a leadership grant from Steven Cash Nickerson and by the United States Institute of Peace and Humanity United. The Conference was co-sponsored by the American Society of International Law, the American National Section of the International Association of Penal Law, and The Brookings Institution.
