Welcome to the Social Action page of Washington University’s Black Law Students Association. Charles Hamilton Houston once said, “A lawyer’s either a social engineer or … a parasite on society.” This year I will provide opportunities for law students to act as social engineers within the St. Louis community. It is my hope that we as law students can use our voice, our privilege, and our talent to help our local community hold our leaders and institutions accountable.
For the Fall 2017 semester, our theme is “Understanding St. Louis Demographics and Protecting the St. Louis Community’s Right to Vote.”
Please feel free to contact me via email if you are interested in volunteering, partnering, or inviting WU-BLSA to your next social action event.
