Spring break is a great time to check in with your summer employer to solidify the start and end dates of your summer internship. If your employer’s start and end dates are flexible, consider the timing of the 1L write on competition (May 7 – May 13) and 2L interview programs (see dates for on and off-campus programs on the Symplicity homepage). While students should plan any summer vacations for the weeks before or after their summer internship program, most employers are understanding if you need to take a day or two off for inflexible personal commitments. Make a quick appointment with a Career Center strategist to talk over how best to word your request for time off.
