The Whitney R. Harris World Law Institute is hiring a full time Fellow to start in August 2019. As part of the Harris Institute staff, the Fellow assists with the academic projects of the Institute, including the Crimes Against Humanity Initiative and the Gun Violence in the U.S. Initiative as well as assist with the Harris Institute speaker series, the International Humanitarian Law Dialogs, and other Harris Institute activities.

The Fellow works on research projects assigned by the Director, but is also encouraged to conduct his/her own research with a view to writing an article for publication, and may attend faculty workshops and otherwise fully participate in Law School academic life. The Fellow also supervises JD students working with the Gun Violence in the U.S. Research Project, the ICC Legal Tools project and the Crimes Against Humanity Research Project. Applicants must have a J.D., a background in international law, and excellent writing and research skills. Foreign language capability is a plus, but not a requirement. Students in the class of 2019 and recent graduates are particularly encouraged to apply.
